In search of meaning & beauty

We are curious how things work and what is behind the facade of assumptions. Because if you take the time to listen. To observe. And if you let the insights grow ripe, the world turns out to be a playground of inspiring phenomena and insights. So let's challenge the obvious.

Peace!

Brand design is a beautiful profession in which you capture complex subjects in one picture. And also a fascinating interplay between the intention of a designer, the acceptance of the client and the projection of the user. Strong logos become public property and hardly anyone realizes they were ever made by anyone. For example, everyone knows the peace sign, but no one knows Gerarld Holtom. In 1958 he was looking for a universal symbol for a protest march against the nuclear bomb. He joined two semaphore flags to spell "Nuclear Disarmament," and that symbol became the universal sign of peace for the world; Timeless, iconic and anyone can use it.

In 2017, a museum from Frankfurt called for a new peace symbol. Interesting question, but why develop a new, static logo? Sometimes it is better to develop something further than to throw it away. That's why we came up with a 2.0 version for the peace sign: The application ContributeToPeace.com. Everyone can fill in a personal interpretation of peace and choose their own color, the platform adds the geoposition and thus makes the composite peace symbol. Time and time again, this produces a dynamic, current version that is never finished. It is like a living organism that is always evolving and to which everyone can contribute. Just like peace.  @ Wunder

Over the Moon

Despite times without vacation or adventure, you can still travel. By heart. This postcard has all the hallmarks of this average tourist tradition. But if you look closely and think about it for a moment, it has come a long way. This is an ode to the postcard. Because when you receive one, the thing actually traveled all the way ... A huge journey from your friend at some exotic destination - through a wonderful series of processes and all kinds of intermediaries - until it falls on your doormat. A tangible greeting in a detached world.
PS. if you send us a nice email with your address, we will send you a one. From the moon.

The truth of patterns

However we strive to be original, there is always a subconscious pattern in everything we do or create. And that common thread turns out to be confrontingly honest, grossly funny and contains perhaps the purest essence or truth about someone. On the right you see a series of covers, with the most used clichés and most used words by well-known authors.
